Lost Quilt Shops

2010/09/07

From a trip across Canada in 2010 — 14 August:

I was going to show quilt shops as we travelled across Canada BUT

— Moose Jaw – closed because it was Sunday (one would open later in the day).  It was interesting wandering around Moose Jaw, we saw some neat murals.

— Winnipeg – of the few I had on my list I chose one that was closed, gone.

— Kenora and Thunder Bay had quilt shops that turned out well

— Ottawa – we went looking for one and it was closed, also gone.  But we did find the constituency office of Dalton McGuinty just next door!

— New Brunswick – on Saturday – the shop closed half an hour before we found it. but we did find a waterfall and then a covered bridge.

Enough complaining, there is so much to see and the weather is beautiful.

We did continue on to Newfoundland and did find more quilt shops here and there.
